Ms. Rodriguez is a full time music teacher for middle school students at Hawthorn Academy in West Jordan. She also plays Oboe with the West Valley Symphony of Utah and the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds. Ms. Rodriguez has 13 years of experience playing Oboe and 7 years teaching it.
My private lessons philosophy revolves around helping the student achieve success not only in lesson materials but also in school/community ensemble music. I encourage my students to be a part of their school or community ensembles and to come to me with questions or guidance needed to play their music well. I believe in teaching by example and play along with the students.
I am also pretty flexible with lesson frequency. I understand there are other things going on in a student’s life and am willing to be flexible with how often lessons occur and what days they happen during the week. I teach 30min or 60min lessons.
